A: Loss of Motion Segment Integrity occurs when you have measured ligament (laxity, instability, sub-failure) to an injured joint that meets the American Medical Association (AMA) Impairment Guides Measured Criteria.

Since the main supporting structure of the body is the spine that is made of multiple joints of vertebrae. Knowing the movements of each Vertebrae is vital for the Diagnosis, and next procedure. Especially for the Clinicians that treat the spine to any degree.
